JV Industrial Companies, Ltd Selects mySAP All-in-One Industry Solution
to Improve Client Relations, Enhance Project Reporting,
and Increase Process ROI

Texas-based construction services company replaces outgrown Timberline solution with SAP CREW to enable continued growth

Milwaukee, Wis. – November 13, 2006 – Texas-based JV Industrial Companies (JVIC) has selected CREW, a qualified mySAP™ All-in-One solution for the construction industry, to replace its existing Timberline™ business system. CREW will enable JVIC to re-engineer its current business processes while delivering the ability to enhance cash flow efficiencies and improve overall earnings while scaling to support continued growth.

The CREW solution, developed by Milwaukee-based SAP Solution Partner et alia, llc., will also be implemented for JVIC by et alia.

"SAP CREW All-in-One is a multi-company construction solution,” says Jim Lanclos, JVIC’s director of information technology. “The SAP CREW design provides us with an integrated enterprise system fit to JVIC’s unique industry requirements.”

JVIC is a national industrial contractor specialized in providing unique services for multi-industry requirements. JVIC’s services include boilermaker, piping, and exchanger maintenance as well as ASME code modifications for vessels. JVIC installations are supported by project management teams trained in the latest best practices that include safety focused construction management techniques. The basic industries they service include gasoline refining and petro-chemical, for which JVIC specializes in executing safe, cost-effective, and on-time scheduled turnarounds and shutdowns.

Currently JVIC is facing substantial growth across the organization. JVIC’s IT department predicts that within a year the existing system will be unable to accommodate JVIC’s workload at its annual 10% growth rate. “Our current solution has been dependable until this year,” says Lanclos. “However, the increase in the amount of data being processed is taxing the software’s capacity and is now prone to errors.”

JVIC decided that a replacement solution must be operational by July 1, 2007 or they will face problems maintaining the current operation of the various business processes, specifically payroll and client billings.

With SAP CREW, JVIC is bundling together business functions including project management, financials, materials, sales, payroll and other human resource administration in one system for each of its eight locations.

The CREW solution handles the organizational requirements necessary to track, identify, and report on the operations, administration, and profitability for projects. The system addresses the core operational needs of small and midsize construction companies while supplying them with the reporting tools necessary to gain key insights into their operations.

The CREW implementation team from et alia brings many years of SAP software knowledge and practical construction industry experience to the JVIC project.

“JVIC has made a strategic decision to invest in a leading construction solution that leverages best practices and pre-defined templates to accelerate implementation,” says et alia’s president and founder, Brad Nicolaisen. “Using the mySAP All-in-One qualified partner solution CREW, JVIC will profit from a world-class technology platform designed to support its business today while preparing the company for the future.”
