From Data to Dialogue:

How Scientists Can Drive Change Through Op-Eds

A free, live training for bold thinkers in global health & life sciences

Wed. March 12th, 12-1:30 pm EST

Op-Eds are more than great PR. They’re door-openers, enabling you to quickly build connections with people who can make it possible to advance your mission.

This training is for leaders who:

  • Understand the unique power Op-Eds have to grab attention, change minds and drive solutions

  • Want to advance the critical conversations impacting their industry and the broader world

  • Want a clear understanding of how Op-Eds work

Work with leading Op-Ed experts in the health sciences

For more than two decades, our team has published hard-hitting Op-Eds for health & science leaders:

  • Fortune 100 CEOs, CXOs and board chairs

  • Start-up founders

  • Directors and Surgeons General

  • Heads of state

  • Government officials overseeing health & science policy

  • UN & agency leaders

  • Academic faculty and a Nobel laureate

Op-Eds are the most powerful medium you’re not using.

The opinion platforms we target want the most valuable viewpoints: bold, unconventional, disruptive, contrarian. Viewpoints that demonstrate real leadership that changes how we think about the most important issues that impact all of us.

Each Op-Ed you publish is an asset for casting a vision of how the world can be different. Op-Eds help you build relationships with passionate people who have a bias toward action. People who can become your partners, allies and biggest supporters.

What You’ll Learn in the Training

We’ll teach you the exact approach we use to consistently publish Op-Eds in the world’s most visible and respected media outlets, including how to:

Avoid common pitfalls:

  • Maximize your odds of publication by avoiding common mistakes industry actors make when trying to write Op-Eds.

Set up for success from the start:

  • Tell the difference between good and bad Op-Ed ideas.

  • Never again waste time trying to write Op-Eds based on ideas that won’t work.

Write with confidence:

  • Structure an Op-Ed to captivate readers and keep them engaged.

  • Minimize the time it takes to write an Op-Ed without sacrificing quality.

Showcase the best science:

  • Write Op-Eds using your latest research, older research, or other people’s research.

Remove the guesswork from pitching and publishing:

  • Quickly decide where to publish your Op-Ed for maximum reach and visibility.

  • Avoid pitch email subject lines that automatically get you rejected.

  • Pitch with a reliable strategy that leads editors to YES.

Build long-term relationships with opinion editors:

  • Work seamlessly with editors on pre-publication revisions.

  • Respond to editors’ needs so they want to receive your future pitches.

Leverage your Op-Eds for bigger wins:

  • Best practices to effectively promoting and disseminating your Op-Eds after publication.

  • Use Op-Eds to land follow-on interviews and speaking engagements.
